  • About Me
Below are answers to questions that may arise as you consider working with me in therapy. Please call, text, email, or use the scheduling link at the bottom of the page if you have questions that are not answered here.
What services do you offer?
I offer individual & couples therapy as well as supervision & consultation. See the break out sections below for more information on each category of service.
  • Individual & Couples therapy
I provide relational/psychodynamic psychotherapy to adult individuals and couples. This means my work is deeply grounded in psychological theory and our interactions will be personable and human and have our therapeutic relationship at their core.
  • Supervision & Consultation
I am available to supervise folks in the post-graduate (post Master's or post Doctorate) phases of training. I am also available for consultation with licensed clinicians who wish to explore their clinical work with a more depth oriented lens. I have supervised 25+ graduate level interns and post doctorates over my career. I have 20+ years of providing clinical consultation to mental health providers.

What is your fee and how is it set?
My fee is $245/ hour. This is based on my advanced level of training and 20+ years of clinical practice.

Psychotherapy is an investment in one's self and one's future.
Our work together will happen both when we are in session and in our minds when we are not in session. Setting a fee that has financial impact (ie, a fee that can be appropriately felt by the therapy participant) is helpful in taking up the therapeutic journey in this more dedicated and purposeful way.

What types of payment do you accept?
Cash
Checks
Flexible Spending Account
Health Savings Account payments
Mobile payment apps

Do you accept insurance?
  • Private Insurance--no
I do not accept any private insurance plans. I will provide you with a monthly statement suitable for seeking out of network reimbursement from your insurance if you choose to do so.
  • Traditional Medicare--yes, with limited availability
Please contact your specific Medicare plan to ensure I am an eligible provider for your plan before reaching out to me. I have limited spots to see Medicare patients. I also maintain a waiting list for Medicare patients.

How long does therapy take?
There is no one answer to this question. Therapy is a complex process that requires vulnerability and patience. I work at an emotionally deeper level and on more entrenched life challenges. It takes time and effort to build trust in a therapeutic relationship. While length of treatment is not the only indication of that a therapy is working, I find longer treatments often yield preferable and more lasting outcomes.

How long are sessions?
My sessions are 45 or 50 minutes long.

How often will we meet?
We will meet at least once per week. We can determine together if meeting more frequently (multiple times in a week) would be beneficial to you and the goals you have for therapy.

How will we meet?
I am available to provide in person and remote therapy to anyone who is a permanent resident of California or New York State. I am able to provide remote therapy to anyone who is a permanent resident of Florida.
  • In person sessions
In person sessions are held in my Graton, CA office. The office is roughly 25 minutes from the downtown areas of Windsor and Santa Rosa and 15 minutes from downtown Sebastopol. My office allows for quiet, comfortable, and private in person sessions.
  • Remote sessions
I work remotely either by telephone or video. My video appointments are held via "Sessions", a secure tele-health video platform provided by Psychology Today.

Who do you see?
I work with adults 18+ years old. I have seen all kinds of people in my practice including:

  • Artists
  • Attorneys
  • "Burners"
  • C-Suite professionals
  • Creative thinkers
  • Dancers
  • Founders
  • Entrepreneurs
  • LGBTQIA+ identified people
  • Mental health professionals
  • Neurodivergent folks
  • Older adults
  • Parents (with kids of all ages)
  • VC's
  • Writers
  • Young adults

Don't recognize yourself in any of these categories?  Reach out anyway. Perhaps I just haven't had the pleasure of working with someone like you yet.
